Inquest into the Death of Josephine JENNINGS

Summary: Josephine Jennings (Ms Jennings), a Wangkai/Wongi woman, was 32 years old when she was last seen alive at Kalgoorlie District Court on 14 April 1997.

Ms Jennings was reported as missing to Western Australia Police Force (WAPF) on 6 September 2010. A missing person investigation commenced in a bid to locate Ms Jennings and a wide range of enquiries were undertaken by WAPF, however they were unable to find any sign of her.

The Coroner was satisfied beyond all reasonable doubt that Ms Jennings is deceased and died around the time of her disappearance. The Coroner was unable to determine how Ms Jennings died and made an Open Finding as to the manner of Ms Jennings’ death.
